Semi-Private Tutoring
$40/hour or $350 for ten (10) hours.
Summer Special: $900 for thirty (30) hours. Hours must be used by August 31, 2011.
Group Sessions
$450 for 20- hour course.
Registration fee of $50 covers the cost of all materials. This fee is not part of the tuition. Fee must accompany the application and is non-refundable unless we cancel the class.
Testing
Reading Test ($150) includes:
- Slossen- tests word attack
- Morrison-McCall Spelling scale- tests spelling and phonetic abilities
- Reading Placement Appraisal (RPA)- determines placement in Reading Plus
- Visagraph- determines reading efficiency including speed, eye movements, fixations, and regressions. Child is tested with goggles on his/her eyes. The results are graphed and displayed on our computer so we can visualize how your child sees the printed page.
Reading Test ($50) includes only the Slossen word attack and Morrison-McCall Spelling scale. This test is usually adequate for younger readers---those in grades K-2. Otherwise, we recommend that the student take the more comprehensive battery of tests listed above.
Irlen screening or Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome: $95
It is highly recommended that you allow us to screen your child for Irlen’s Syndrome if he or she has any difficulty with reading. Statistics have shown that 45% of those with learning problems could be suffering
from SSS (Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome).
All fees must be paid prior to the first scheduled session.
